Denger on Sea Water Level: Stated by the British Antarctic Surveyors

 

There is a glacier(iceberg) in Antarctica named as Thwaites Glacier  which is also known as "Doomsday Glacier". From the latest research we get to know that this Iceberg is started to melting. This creates a problem on the geologists. It has a huge size. And if we start compare it with a state then it will be fit with the size of Gujarat of India. If this Iceberg started melting then the water level of the sea will increase highly. This will make terror in future,said by the climate experts.

We get informed that the warm water of the sea is melting it from the lower side and the rising temperatures of the atmosphere is from the upper side. This makes the iceberg of 120sq. km into a 43m flat surface in every year said by the scientists of British Antarctic Surveyors. This information is published on Nature Magazine.

As the iceberg melts this causes the melting of ice of thousands of tones every year and the water level increases. This increases the level at 4% each year. From the 90's it's now decreases its size 14km. As per the scientists if the Doomsday Glacier melts completely the the sea level will increase by 2 foot i.e 70cm from the usual. This will sink the sea facing cities and countries as well.

This Doomsday Glacier acts as a barrier to protect the icebergs of the western Antarctica from the sea. So if this Doomsday Glacier melts then all these icebergs will eventually melt. This makes the sea water level increase to 10foot i.e 350cm approx. This will make a havoc on Earth. So the scientists warned to maintain the atmospheric temperature. This may stops the Earth from Doomsday.
